Blackrock

Blackrock is a rare and enigmatic substance revered across the realms for its extraordinary properties. Found only in small quantities deep within Mount Modan, this mineral is almost completely indestructible. Conventional methods can excavate Blackrock, but transforming it into a malleable form is impossible without the use of Ether, the mystical energy that permeates across all of Solaria. It is a neutral but highly coveted resource, sought by both The Covenant and The Dominion for its magical conductivity and strength.

Only the master smiths of Irondeep possess the knowledge and skill to manipulate Blackrock. When infused with ether, Blackrock can be forged into weapons of unparalleled strength—blades and armor so resilient they are considered virtually indestructible. These creations are never traded and remain the exclusive armament of the elite dwarven guard.

Beyond its physical resilience, Blackrock exhibits unique arcane properties:

• Ether Blocking: Large quantities of Blackrock can disrupt ethereal waves, rendering magic ineffective within its presence. 
• Energy Permeability: When subjected to a precise combination of electrical and magnetic energy, Blackrock becomes permeable—allowing matter to pass through as if it were liquid. 
• Strategic Value: The Dominion Dark Circle has repeatedly sought Blackrock to weaponize its anti-magic capabilities against The Covenant, but all attempts have been thwarted.
