The Hall of Trials

The Hall of Trials is where adventurers go to prove themselves: fight waves of monsters and legendary bosses, face other players in the arena, or test your agility and wits in solo challenges. Every trial takes place in its own instance, so nothing outside can interfere.

Preview: the Hall of Trials is still being built. Free for All, Horde Assault and Proving Grounds are open now, marked Available. Everything marked Coming soon is on its way, and details such as rewards and rules may still change.

How it works

Type /trials from anywhere to open the Hall of Trials. The window has three tabs, PvE, PvP and Challenges, and each one lists the trials of that kind with a short guide to how it plays.

Pick a trial or go Random

Choose a specific arena, or pick Random to join one that is already waiting for players. If none is waiting, a random arena of that kind is started for you.

Queue with your party

Party leaders can queue the whole party at once. Everyone has to be online and outside other matches, and the party must fit the trial's team size.

Your trial box

Inside a trial, a box on the right of your screen shows the trial, its timer and your progress, in the same place as your quest tracker.

Leaving early: walking out of a PvP match before it ends costs rating, so only queue when you have time to finish.

PvE Trials

Team up against the creatures of Aetherion. PvE trials reward preparation, teamwork and staying power.

Horde Assault Available

Hold out against wave after wave of enemies, each stronger than the last, sometimes with a boss to finish. Rewards grow at milestone waves.

Scenarios Coming soon

Story-driven adventures in a set place, such as a village under attack. Work through several phases, each with new objectives and enemies.

Proving Grounds Available

One or more players against a single raid-level boss with deadly attacks and several phases. Only the best prepared will win.

PvP Trials

Test yourself against other players on fair ground. Arena matches are ranked, so wins and losses move your rating.

Free for All Available

A one-on-one duel to the end. No respawns and no teammates: the last one standing wins.

2v2 and 3v3 Coming soon

Two small teams fight until one side is wiped out. Fallen players watch the rest of the match as spectators.

Battlegrounds Coming soon

Large team battles of up to 16 players, won by objectives rather than kills alone. The first battleground is Conquest: capture and hold key points across the battlefield.

Etherball Coming soon

A team sport: grab the Etherball and carry it into the other team's goal. The first team to 10 points wins.

Challenges

Solo trials that test something other than your sword arm.

Parkour Coming soon

Obstacle courses full of tricky jumps, moving platforms and hazards. Reach the finish as fast as you can.

Glider Coming soon

Fly your glider through floating rings and checkpoints, keeping your speed through every turn.

Puzzles Coming soon

Escape-room style challenges full of riddles, mechanisms and hidden clues. Brains, not blades.

Rewards

Trials pay out in their own tokens, which go straight into your account at the Etheric Vault:

TokenEarned from

Trials will also count towards achievements in the Dungeons & Campaigns category.
