Quests & Achievements

There's always something to work towards on Aetherion. Quests from the Notice Board give you a fresh set of goals every day and every week, while achievements quietly record everything you do and reward you for it with experience, gold, items and titles.

The Notice Board

Every town has a Notice Board. Walk up to it and press F to read today's notices. Each note tells you the goal, how long you have and what it pays. Accept the ones you like, and come back to any Notice Board to hand them in once they're done.

All players see the same notices, and the board renews itself every day. A countdown at the top of your quest tracker shows when the next reset is.

Don't worry about the reset: if you finished a quest but didn't hand it in before the board renewed, it is turned in for you automatically with its full rewards, even if you were offline.

Daily & weekly quests

Quests ask you to do the things you'd do anyway, just with a target:

Hunt

Defeat a number of a certain creature, wherever you find them.

Gather

Mine ore, chop wood or harvest plants and crops.

Earn

Collect gold from defeated creatures, or gain a set amount of experience.

Event quests

Some weeklies are tied to what's happening in the world, such as a goblin threat that needs answering.

Rewards scale with you: the experience and gold a quest pays grow with your level, so the board stays worth checking at every stage. You can abandon up to two quests a day if one isn't for you.

Adventurer Ranks

Every quest you complete earns rank points, and weekly quests earn three times as many. Points raise your adventurer rank, and some notices on the board are only open to adventurers of a high enough rank.

Your Journal & quest tracker

The Journal

Type /quests, or open it from the Player Menu with O. It lists your active and completed quests, your rank and your progress.

The tracker

The panel on the right of your screen follows up to five quests and one achievement. Use Track and Untrack in the Journal to choose what it shows.

Server clock

The top of the tracker shows the server time and how long until the daily reset, so you always know how long you have left.

Achievements

Achievements are Aetherion's long-term progression. They unlock on their own as you play: there's nothing to accept, and progress you made before an achievement existed still counts. Open them with /achievements or from the Player Menu.

Many achievements come in tiers: defeat your first monster, then 100, then 1,000 and so on. Each tier earns achievement points, which put you on the leaderboard.

Rewards & titles

Every tier you earn comes with a reward waiting to be claimed. Press Claim on an achievement, or Claim All to collect everything at once.

Experience & gold

Every tier pays experience and gold. The more points a tier is worth, the bigger the reward.

Items

Ad'rath Shards, pet eggs, mounts and cosmetic armor sets, such as the Exalted sets for mastering the Great Forge and the Bloodtusk set for true Trork hunters.

Titles

Over 50 titles to earn, from the Awakened to the Dragonslayer. Choose yours in your character sheet's Options.

Where titles show: your title appears in your character sheet and in party and guild windows, for example "Kael the Dragonslayer". It is not shown on your nametag, so names stay easy to read.
