New to Aetherion? This page takes you from your first login to your first quest, your first home and your first upgrade at the Great Forge. Everything here can also be found in game in the Adventurer's Guide: type /guide at any time.
Open Hytale, go to Servers, choose Add Server and enter the address playaetherion.com. No mods or downloads are needed: everything Aetherion adds is sent to you when you connect.
Before you play, take a minute to read the server rules. Joining the server means you accept them.
Every journey starts in the Central Nexus, the hub that links all of Aetherion's worlds. From here, portals take you to the worlds:
Hytale's own world of Orbis, split into four zones by level. Fight, gather, claim land and build a permanent home that is never reset.
The RPG realm: a custom, hand-built world where you will shape the fate of the Sanctums.
A high-risk world that collapses and rebuilds every week. The land resets, but the loot you bring out is yours to keep.
Instanced PvE, PvP and solo challenges. You can open it from anywhere with /trials.
The Nexus is also full of people who can help you on your way. Press F to talk to them:
The bank. Store your gold, essences and tokens safely.
Buy and sell items with other players.
Not happy with how you spent your Ability Points? The Class Master resets your stats so you can spend them again.
Trades your dungeon tokens for special keys that unlock rare loot.
Keeps the rolls of every guild. Found your own guild here for 100 gold.
Press O to open the Player Menu. It is your shortcut to everything: the Adventurer's Guide (highlighted at the top), your Achievements, the Social window for your party and guild, and more.
/rp player shows your level, attributes, stat points and a full breakdown of where every bonus comes from.
/quests lists your active and completed quests. Your active quests also show in the tracker on the right of your screen.
/collections holds the pets, mounts and appearances you have collected.
Head to the Everbuild Expanse to settle down. Use /rtp to be teleported to a random open spot, then /claim to protect your land. Claims only work in the Everbuild Expanse. Use /scp to name your claim and invite friends.
Stand inside your new home and type /sethome. From then on, /home brings you back from anywhere, with a cooldown of about 15 minutes.
You can also place up to six personal teleporters to travel quickly between your favourite places. Only you can use them at first. Share them with friends using /ep trust.
Defeat creatures, complete quests and run Trials to earn experience. Each level gives you Ability Points to spend in /rp player on Strength, Vitality, Dexterity, Intelligence and Charisma. The Everbuild Expanse is split into four zones that get tougher as you travel:
Every town has a Notice Board. Walk up to it and press F to see today's notices. You can carry 3 daily quests and 1 weekly quest at a time. When a quest is done, hand it in at any Notice Board for experience and gold.
Every quest also earns rank points, raising your adventurer rank from E (Novice) up to S (Legend).
Meanwhile, Achievements unlock on their own as you play. Open them with /achievements to claim rewards, track one, and pick a title.
Gather ore, herbs and wood, and craft at the profession benches. Each profession grows from skill 1 to 300, and you can learn them all.
Upgrade weapons and armor through five tiers, set Ad'rath Shards into their sockets and change how they look. Press F on a Great Forge to open it.
Store gold in the Etheric Vault, buy and sell at the Auction House, or send items and gold to friends by Pigeon Post. Use Cash on Delivery when you sell an item by mail.
Group up with /party invite <player>. A party holds up to six adventurers, and members share experience and quest kills. Chat with your party using /p, and whisper anyone with /w <player> "message".
Guilds are lasting fellowships with five ranks, a tag of two to five letters shown before your name, a message of the day and their own chat channel (/g). To found one, visit the Guild Registrar in the Nexus: a charter costs 100 gold from your bank and makes you its Guild Master. Type /guild help to see every guild action, or open the Social window from the Player Menu.
Zones 1 to 3 are safe from other players. The Devastated Lands are contested, so PvP is on there. Type /pvpstatus to see where you stand.
Defeating players around your level in contested zones can earn experience and Champion Marks, which buy PvP gear.
