The world of Aetherion is big, and walking everywhere gets old fast. Set a home you can always return to, let the random teleport drop you somewhere new to explore, ride a mount you collected, and build your own portal network between the places you visit most.
Think of your home as a hearthstone. Stand where you want to return to, such as your house, your base or a cosy spot by the fire, and type /sethome. From then on, /home takes you straight back, from anywhere and from any world.
You have one home at a time. Using /sethome again moves it to where you're standing.
After you use /home, it needs about 15 minutes before it works again. The game tells you how long is left.
You arrive looking the same way you were looking when you set your home.
Looking for a quiet place to build, or fresh land to explore? /rtp sends you to a random spot in the Everbuild Expanse, well away from spawn. It picks a zone that suits your level:
The random teleport never sends you to the Devastated Lands (Zone 4), where PvP is on, and never drops you in the ocean. It works only in the Everbuild Expanse and has a cooldown of about an hour. If no safe spot is found, nothing happens and you can try again straight away, because the cooldown only starts after a teleport that works.
A good mount turns a long trek into a quick ride. Mounts are not tamed by force: each one answers the call of a Binding Sigil, which summons it from the Ethereal Plane.
Binding Sigils come as rewards and rare finds. Each one belongs to a single mount.
Use the sigil and the mount joins your collection for good. The sigil is used up.
Open /collections, go to Mounts and summon the one you want. Then climb on.
You can have one mount out at a time. It goes back to the Ethereal Plane when you log out, so it's always ready for your next session. Already have a mount? Using its sigil again won't give you a second one.
Want to see every mount you can collect? Browse them all on the Collections page.
Ethereal Portals are teleporters you place yourself. Every adventurer can have up to six. Place one at your home, one at your farm and one at your favourite mine, then hop between them in a blink.
Put the portal block down where you want it.
Press F on it and give it a name, such as "Home" or "Copper Mine".
Pick another of your portals as the destination. Step through and you arrive there.
Only the owner can break a portal, and an active portal has to be deactivated first, so nobody can take yours.
