Ether

Ether is the fundamental energy of existence in Aetherion. It is not an element but the source from which all elements - and even life itself - draw their power. Think of Ether as the cosmic thread that weaves reality together.

CHARACTERISTICS Of Ether

• Origin: Ether was the first force shaped by the gods when they brought order to chaos. It predates the Sanctums and even the formation of the elemental hierarchy. 
  
• Nature: Invisible, luminous, and harmonic. It resonates like a silent song across all planes, binding matter, spirit, and magic. 
  
• Neutrality: Ether is pure and unaligned. Unlike elements, it does not favor destruction or creation—it simply is.

ROLE IN MAGIC 

• Foundation of Spellcraft: All magic in Aetherion is a manipulation of Ether through elemental filters. 
  
• Ethereal Walkers: Unique beings (like the player character) who can channel Ether directly, bypassing elemental limitations.
  
• Sanctums as Conduits: Each Sanctum acts as a stabilizer, drawing Ether into elemental form for mortals to use.

ETHER VS. VOID 

• Ether represents order and harmony, while the Void represents entropy and unmaking. 
  
• When Ether is corrupted by the Void, reality fractures—causing anomalies, time distortions, and chaos.
