Avlon

Avlon is the legendary city of the Dragonkin, once located on the eastern coast of Illdoridri. Known for its neutrality and majestic architecture, Avlon faced annihilation when the Ad’rath Meteor threatened to strike. In the final moments, Ava, Goddess of Wind and Compassion, intervened—lifting the city into the skies and relocating it to the Avalonian Mountains near the Scarab Desert.

Today, Avlon floats among the clouds, a sanctuary of magic and resilience, its spires shimmering with etheric energy and wind-forged enchantments.

THE AD’RATH METEOR AND AVA’S INTERVENTION

When the Ad’rath Meteor struck Alaroh Island, its shockwaves tore through Illdoridri, threatening to annihilate Avlon. In a moment of divine intervention, Ava lifted the city into the heavens, tethering it to the Avalonian Mountains with etheric anchors. This act preserved the Dragonkin but forever changed their destiny—Avlon became a floating bastion, a city suspended in eternal winds.

MODERN AVLON

Avlon is now a marvel of elemental engineering and divine power:

Floating Platforms: Obsidian and crystal structures hover above the Avalonian peaks, linked by wind bridges and etheric conduits.
Skyroot Spire: A colossal spire embedded into the mountain below, housing the Sanctum of Air—the spiritual heart of Ava’s worship. Its etheric currents stabilize Avlon’s floating platforms.
Dominion Quarter: The largest section of Avlon, dominated by the Tempest Spire, a fortress of obsidian and flame conduits. Serves as the Dominion’s aerial war command and elemental forge. Features aerial docks for gliders and warships.
Sanctum Quarter: A smaller, neutral enclave surrounding the Skyroot Spire. Neutral ground where Ava’s ideals of freedom and peace prevail, welcoming emissaries from all factions, including the Kalen’Tir of The Covenant. Architecture emphasizes harmony—crystal bridges, wind gardens, sanctum shrines.

CULTURAL DYNAMICS

Avlon is a city divided:

Dominion Loyalists: Militaristic Dragonkin who see Avlon as a weapon to enforce Dominion supremacy.
Sanctum Guardians: Spiritualists and scholars who uphold Ava’s doctrine of freedom and resist Dominion militarization.

This ideological tension fuels political intrigue, covert alliances, and open conflict within the floating city.
