Ava 

Wind, Compassion, and Freedom

Ava is one of the 4 Elemental Gods. She is the daughter of Arael and Asubah. Ava embodies the gentle yet unstoppable force of air—bringing life, movement, and empathy to the world of Aetherion.

Ava is the most benevolent of the Six Ancient Gods, revered for her mercy and guidance. Her teachings emphasize empathy, harmony, and liberation from tyranny. She is often invoked by healers, diplomats, and wanderers seeking safe passage.

Ava is credited with saving the Kalen'tir during the Great Sandstorm, guiding them to safety with her divine winds. Legends say she once quelled a war by scattering armies with a single breath, proving that compassion can wield immense power. Even so, Ava is worshiped primarily by Dragonkin, who revere Ava as their divine patron.

Lightning – The Tempest’s Wrath

While Ava is revered for her gentle winds and soothing breezes, legends speak of her Tempest Form—a state of divine fury where compassion gives way to judgment. In this form, Ava calls forth lightning from the heavens, striking down arrogance and hubris. Ancient texts describe lightning as “the voice of the sky, echoing the wrath of the wind.”

Some important cultural attributes of lightning are as follows:

• Stormcaller Order: A secretive sect within The Dominion, devoted to mastering lightning magic. They see storms as divine omens and wield lightning as a weapon of truth. 
• Rituals: The Tempest Rite is performed atop Avalonian spires during seasonal storms, invoking Ava’s blessing for clarity and strength. 
• Symbolism: Lightning represents judgment, revelation, and sudden change, feared and revered across Aetherion.

Attributes

• The Kalen'tir and Dragonkin both hold Ava as their patron deity. The Kalen'tir believe her winds guide their caravans across the Scarab Desert. 
• Temples to Ava are open-air sanctuaries, often built on high cliffs or floating platforms to honor her dominion over the skies. 

Connections to Other Lore 

• Dominion Influence: His teachings underpin the Dominion’s code of conquest and honor. 
• Asubah often clashes ideologically with Arael (Nature & Light), yet respects her purity as a necessary counterbalance.

Sanctum of Air

The Sanctum of Air is the spiritual center dedicated to Ava. It is nestled in the Avalonian Mountains to the west of the Scarab Desert, close to the Dragonkin city of Avlon, making it a central pilgrimage site for Dragonkin culture.

Within the Sanctum of Air, one will also find the Tempest Spire, a towering chamber open to the skies, where etheric conduits attract storm energy. Here, lightning dances across crystal rods, and stormcallers train to harness its chaotic power.
