The Broken Sea

The Broken Sea is a haunting and beautiful flooded highland zone located north of the mountain ranges that border Eryndor. Once a broad, windswept stone mesa known as the Mirac Plateau, the land fractured long ago and collapsed into a network of shallow basins, waterways, and scattered islands. Today, only fragments of the original plateau remain above water - jagged stone outcrops rising like broken memories of what once was.

The region is defined by its semi‑inland, partially submerged terrain, where land and water weave together into a mosaic of natural channels and islets. The Broken Sea feels serene at first glance, but its unpredictable terrain makes it treacherous for travelers unfamiliar with the drowned landscape.

Mirac Plateau

Long ago, this region was the Mirac Plateau, the famous battleground where Covenant and Dominion forces clashed in one of the most important conflicts of early Aetherion's history.

Today, most of the plateau lies beneath the water. The region holds a quiet, reverent atmosphere - as if the land itself remembers the battle.

Elarion Enclave

Nestled along the southern edge of the Broken Sea, where the gravel shores meet the first shallow channels, lies the tranquil and scholarly Elarion Enclave. This Elven village serves as the premier center for historical and archaeological research into the submerged remnants of the Mirac Plateau.

Its scholars, druids, and water‑adepts work tirelessly to preserve the memories of what the land once was, long before the plateau fractured and sank beneath the still waters.

Dreadshore

Cold, oppressive, and unmistakably Dominion, Fort Dreadshore stands on the northern outskirts of the Broken Sea, perched upon a dark basalt cliff overlooking the flooded landscape and distant coastline. Its spiked battlements and ever‑burning braziers cast long shadows across the water, a constant reminder that the Dominion watches these lands with hungry eyes.
