The Kalen’Tir are a proud feline race native to the southern Scarab Desert, standing taller than humans with a physique that combines elegance and strength. Their sleek fur, adapted to the harsh desert sun, ranges in shades of golden sand, deep umber, and silver-gray. Their eyes shimmer with hues that shift according to elemental affinity—azure for air, emerald for nature, and amber for fire.
Distinctive luminescent mana markings trace across their skin and fur, glowing softly when channeling etheric energy. These markings are considered sacred, symbolizing the flow of life and magic within them. Renowned as the greatest scholars in all of Aetherion, the Kalen’Tir are keepers of ancient knowledge and elemental secrets, serving as strategists, archivists, and mystics within The Covenant.
Sandorei, the majestic capital of the Kalen’Tir, lies on the eastern edge of the Scarab Desert. Known as the jewel of the desert, it features golden domes, towering sandstone structures, and rune-carved gateways. At its heart stands the Great Library of Sandorei, a colossal tower that serves as the city’s center of knowledge, a school for mastering magic, and the seat of the ruling council—where Kalen’Tir leaders govern alongside Human and Elven advisors from The Covenant.
The Kalen’Tir are also formidable warriors. Among their most elite defenders are the Sunfang Dune Guard, polearm specialists trained in defensive combat and ambush tactics, masters of desert warfare and guardians of Sandorei’s sacred halls.
They are historically influential within The Covenant, controlling trade routes through the Scarab Desert, but recent tensions with Avlon over desert trade and etheric resources led Avlon to ultimately ally with The Dominion, shocking the Kalen’Tir leadership.
