Asubah

JUSTICE AND DARKNESS

Asubah is one of the Primal Gods (Sometimes called the Elder Gods or Titan Gods). Asubah represents the paradox of law within shadow—a deity who enforces order even in the bleakest realms. Asubah is neither wholly benevolent nor malevolent. His creed is that true justice requires impartiality, even if it means embracing darkness to maintain cosmic balance. He is revered by those who seek vengeance, lawkeepers in harsh lands, and warriors who believe morality is forged in shadow.

  • Symbol:  Black Scale Balanced upon a Silver Blade
  • Element: Darkness

Attributes

  • Orcs are his most devout followers, viewing Asubah as the ultimate arbiter of strength and honor. In the Age of Shadows, Asubah descended upon Dalador to judge the warring tribes, uniting them under his doctrine of strength and law.
  • Necromages invoke his name when binding souls, claiming they act under divine justice.
  • Temples to Asubah are rare and austere, often carved into cavern walls or hidden in mountain passes.

Connections to Other Lore

  • Dominion Influence: His teachings underpin the Dominion’s code of conquest and honor.
  • Asubah often clashes ideologically with Arael (Nature & Light), yet respects her purity as a necessary counterbalance.

Sanctum of Darkness

The Sanctum of Darkness is the most feared and forbidden place in Aetherion, serving as one of the spiritual strongholds of The Dominion. It is the main source of power for Asubah, the God of Justice and Darkness, whose doctrine shapes the Dominion’s ideology of absolute control and retribution.

It is located within the Nether Plains to the north of Illdoridri, very close to the Netherion, the sanctuary of the Necromages.
