Introducing the first iteration of the PvP Arenas and many more great updates.
As the range of armor sets in Aetherion continues to expand, it became necessary to separate plate and leather crafting into distinct systems. To support this, we introduced the Leatherworking Bench, a dedicated station for crafting and upgrading leather gear. Similar to the Armor Bench, it can be enhanced over time, enabling players to unlock more advanced upgrades for their equipment.
This addition also lays the groundwork for future content, as upcoming updates will introduce new gear specifically tailored for an entirely new class - the Druid.
We have continued to expand our range of upgradable armor sets, each designed to evolve alongside your progression through the world. To support this, we have created a dedicated page that provides a comprehensive overview of every armor set, including detailed insights into how they improve with each upgrade.
Over the past two weeks, weβve made significant progress on the minigame framework. The goal is to develop a dedicated interface that enables players to seamlessly engage in a variety of activities, including Skyblock, PvP battlegrounds, PvE wave-based encounters, and more.
While the interface is still under active development, the 1v1 Free-for-All Arena is already available for testing via commands. You can access it using the following:
Once you join a PvP battleground, you have 3 minutes to defeat your opponent, after which the player with the most health wins the battle. Before the battle begins, you have a couple of seconds to get ready and all players will be marked so you can spot them from a distance.
This feature is still highly experimental, but we managed to get 3 arenas available for you to try.

Zanthar Trial Grounds

At present, the magic system remains in a very basic and rudimentary state, with core mechanics such as mana consumption not functioning reliably. While a small selection of staffs is available, the overall experience is currently inconsistent and, at times, unstable.
As a result, we have been exploring potential solutions, including the integration of external mods, to provide a more complete and polished magic experience while we work toward implementing a more robust system in the future.
After exploring a number of options and a big thanks to the support and suggestions from the Aetherion community, we discovered Arcane Power by Tayko_Dev.
This mod introduces a range of new content, including new dangerous elemental mobs, weapons, and magical tomes, enabling players to cast a variety of spells such as lightning bolts, fireballs, healing abilities, and more. It provides a solid foundation for expanding gameplay with magic-based mechanics while we continue developing our long-term systems.
As part of this update, we are introducing a range of new mobs to the game, alongside an important new feature: rare spawns and world boss encounters.
Among the new additions is the Green Slime, a wild creature that may appear harmless at first glance, but is both cautious and dangerous. While it tends to keep its distance, it will become aggressive if provoked. Defeating it offers a chance to obtain a new companion - the Green Slime Pet.
Rare and world boss spawns are designed to be exceptionally uncommon encounters that players may discover during their travels. These mobs have a chance to drop unique and valuable items, rewarding those who seek them out. Some rare creatures will attempt to flee when threatened, while others will retaliate with force. Many possess dungeon-level strength, making them a formidable challenge for unprepared adventurers.
One of the most notable rare encounters is the Rustbreaker Colossus, an ancient construct of immense power. Those who manage to defeat it may be rewarded with an Ancient Drill, a powerful tool that significantly enhances mining efficiency.
The following are further bug fixes deployed as part of this update:

Lastely... Please keep in mind that all of these new systems and updates are still undergoing active refinement. As Hytale continues to evolve, we will likewise update and improve our plugins, logic, and internal frameworks to stay aligned with the gameβs development.
This means that certain gear stats, item information, recipes, and crafting mechanics may continue to change over time. While the current implementation is stable, nothing is fully final - your feedback will help shape the polished versions of these systems as they mature.
As always, if you have suggestions, ideas, or comments, please share them with us on our official Discord server. Your input helps shape the future of Aetherion.
Happy exploring! πΏβ¨
